TechReport has published its analysis of the CMS 2023 market report data and has come up with some interesting insights.
Hard-coded sites, that is, sites coded from scratch by developers in code editors were down to just 33% of all sites live on the web today. Hard-coded websites were once virtually the only websites on the web at all, and as recently as 2011, made up 76% of all sites. Conversely, the number of sites that use a CMS are up to 76 million.
Unsurprisingly WordPress is the largest. However, Wix is the fastest growing in a market projected to reach $123 Billion in value by 2026.
